SM엔터테인먼트는 5월 10일 발표한 공식 입장문을 통해 NCT와 WayV에서 루카스의 탈퇴를 공식적으로 확인했다 . 회사는 성명을 통해 루카스가 더 이상 두 그룹의 일원이 되지 않고 개별 활동을 계속할 것이라고 밝혔다.

"We have an announcement to share with you regarding Lucas' future plans. After our deliberate discussion with Lucas, we concluded a mutual decision for him to part ways with the groups NCT, as well as WayV, in order to chase his individual endeavors,” the statement read.
